1. I made a change to my site and nothing looks different, what happened?

Make sure you always click the save button when you do any edits. If this is not your problem then it is probably due to your browser. Browsers cache, or save files locally on your computer to help frequently loaded pages display faster. Unfortunately, many websites update often, as with the Blueguru PK4, if your browser is not configured to check for a new version everytime it accesses a website you will view an old copy of the file.

To fix this problem, in Netscape goto Edit->Preferences->Advanced->Cache. Make sure "Document in cache is compared to document on network" is set to every time.

If you are using MS Explorer, goto View->Internet Options->Settings(under Temporary Internet files). Make sure "Check for newer versions of stored pages" is set to every visit.

If you are using AOL, goto MyAaol->WWW->Settings(under Temporary Internet files). Make sure "Check for newer versions of stored pages" is set to every visit.

2. I uploaded an image but I can't find it.

Every file you upload must be in gif or jpeg format. In addition, you must title the file with a .gif, .jpg, or .jpeg file extension (lower or upper case is ok). This is usually a problem for MAC users. In addition make sure you do not have spaces or percent signs in your files names, they will cause problems.

3. My email isn't working.

Make sure your incoming and outgoing mail servers are set to your domain name. Double check your login name and password. If this doesn't solve the problem call technical support at (877) 377-APEX

4. I am trying to edit a product, but when I click edit the wrong product comes up?

This is due to a browser cache problem, see question one.

5. How do I use more than one picture for a single product?

In order to display two or more pictures with one product, you will need to use a photo manipulation program like Photoshop, or Paint Shop Pro to cut and paste the images into a single file. Then upload and select this file for the appropriate product.

6. How do I start a new paragraph in product descriptions?

To start a new paragraph you will need to use the HTML tag, <P>. Simply type <P> or <p> anywhere you would like to start a new paragraph. If you wish to simply start a new line, without a blank line in between, type <br>.

7. Part of my website is missing, what happened?

A few things can cause this. We perform daily backups and generate log data at midnight PST. This causes an unusually large load on the servers and may cause problems with the Blueguru PK4. We suggest not working on your website between 12:00am and 12:20am PST.

Another thing that can cause problems is having spaces or percent signs in your image file names. Make sure to leave these characters out of your filenames.

If data becomes missing from your website contact our support line (877) 377-APEX, as soon as possible. We keep backup information and should be able to recover most if not all of your data. Make sure you contact us before you continue to work on your website, otherwise you stand the chance of losing your data permanently.
